- I'm a graphic designer and occasional painter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After seeing many painters attempt a daily painting discipline (typically small paintings done in one day), I thought it would be an excellent way to get back into art after focusing on design since art school. I mostly paint everyday objects with an interest in the things that make life delightful.

Hello Kim.. had to pay a visit after your thought provoking post. I recall your work on DP and always considered it on the "A list." I'll be checking back .. your recent work of magnolias is strong.. composition, color/value balance - and most important for me interest ... the whole 9 yards. You can paint lady!
